In the last seven days, I haven’t cooked a single thing – and man, have we been eating well. England (and the people in it) have been spoiling us with delicious food. Liz and Ian took us to their favourite Vietnamese spot in London; Dave’s uncle Jim brought us out for Indian last night in Essex; this afternoon, we took over an entire dining hall for lunch. We’ve done backyard BBQ, wood-oven pizza, sticky toffee ice cream, and (fan girl moment), take-out lunch at Ottolenghi. And we haven’t even been to the wedding yet.
So while I have no recent recipe finds from my kitchen to send your way, I have a few from the archives that you might have missed – and a few previews of recipes I’ve bookmarked for trying upon my return. Cheers from the UK!
My favourite summer snacks from the archives:
- Mango Blueberry Quinoa Salad with Lemon Basil Dressing
- Cold Yellow Bell Pepper Soup
- Cherry-Vanilla Ricotta Muffins
- Carrot Salad with Cumin
- Herb Tabouleh with Cardamom Dressing
